Sherika Cheney holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Marygrove College in Detroit, Michigan and a Bachelor’s Degree from Wayne State University in Elementary Education.  She is extremely passionate about our children’s future and has over ten years of educational leadership experience in social services and in the educational arena.  She has developed a pure passion to assist and direct those seeking the tools necessary to succeed in education, business, and entrepreneurship. 

 

She partnered with Marygrove College and created a unique Youth Program with a direct emphasis on educating our youth in the growing field of entrepreneurship.  The Program is Y.E.P. Detroit and was created to expose our youth to the opportunities available in entrepreneurship.  Skills taught included money management, business planning, leadership, and community involvement.

During her time teaching in the public-school system she noticed a significant achievement gap comparing national standards to inner city youth.  Many students were at a grade level or more behind according to the Common Core Standards.  This sparked her passion to become an Early Educational Provider and open her own Learning Center.  Her mission is to provide a solid learning foundation for early learners by providing children with a learning environment that they can thrive in. She is determined to provide children with the necessary tools to have them overly prepared when they begin their school age journey.
