Philosophy

Children First Learning Center is committed to providing quality care for your child in a clean, safe, and nurturing environment.   Our goal is to provide an excellent level of care to our children by working closely with parents and families.

We serve children 12 months – 5 years of age. We also have an Academic Enrichment for school age children and after school tutoring.

We focus on helping children develop a solid foundation for learning which allows them to discover new things, explore concepts, and play to develop their overall social skills.

Children First Learning Center follows the Creative Curriculum to guide daily instruction.

We travel on field trips and short community walks to help your child experience more of what our community has to offer.

Daily Activities to

Meet Your Childs' Needs

Art

Artistic activities help promote visual, motor and social development. It is also a vehicle for expression and communication.

Music

Exposing children to music during early development helps them learn the sounds and meanings of words. Dancing helps builds children's motor skills and promotes self-expression.

Dramatic Play/Movement

Free movement can give children space to develop self-awareness, learn non-verbal ways of communicating and to get to know themselves and their bodies. Children learn their range of motion, balance, muscle strength, coordination and endurance.

Language & Literacy

Language supports your child's ability to communicate, and express and understand feelings. It supports thinking and problem-solving and developing and maintaining relationships.

STEM Education

(Science, Technology, Engineering & Math)

STEM Education provides the basis for vital life skills. We will help children lay the foundation for future academic success.

Outside Play

Physical skills are important for growth, physical coordination and movement of the body. When children play outdoors they increase their ability to balance, jump, climb, throw, run and skip.

Health & Safety

Cleanliness at the Forefront

During these challenging times we are here to support our community and families.  This starts with following the guidelines from the Michigan Department of Licensing and the CDC.  We are here to provide a healthy and safe environment for your child. We have implemented screening and sanitation policies to ensure a safe learning environment.
